Hockey Warm Up!

It is important to warm up well before to play high intensity sports to avoid injuries. Your warm up should include some controlled dynamic movements, to activate your muscles to increase blood flow and free up your range of motion, plus stimulate your brain to improve coordination and refine your balance... Here is a nice HOCKEY DYNAMIC WARM UP

for you to try prior to each game or practice. It will take you less than 10 minutes and will make you feel better on your skates, and stay safer from nagging injuries.

WARM UP:

  • 10x Side leg swings
  • 10x Front leg swings
  • 10x Backward circles
  • 10x Forward circles
  • 10x Goblet squats
  • 10x The Frog
  • 10x Mountain climber
  • 10x The Seal
  • 10x Stick overhead
  • 10x Stick side-2-side
  • 10x Trunk twists
  • Skate changing directions
  • Skate balancing on one leg
  • Skate with quick acceleration and deceleration
